The Other Guys movie review

Today will be the opening of the movie The Other Guys. A comedy movie starred by Will Ferrel and Mark Wahlberg (who just recently got his star in Hollywood walk of fame), which I should say came from different movie genre because I haven't watched any comedy movie of Mark.

The story of the movie is all about the two mismatched detectives who were trying hard to be like  NYPD Detectives Christopher Danson and P.K. Highsmith (Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson). Not until they were assigned to fill-in the job of their idols which is to investigate high-profile shady capitalist David Ershon.

Watch The Other Guys movie trailer below.

.

Based from the trailer, I can't resist to give 1 1/2 thumbs up. I'll give the other half once I already watched the movie. Guess, the movie will have a chance to break Dinner for Schmucks, and be at number one this weekend box office.

As for The Other Guys movie review, from RottenTomatoes it got 79% and consensus:

While not the best collaboration between Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, The Other Guys delivers bursts of comedy during a summer largely devoid of laughs.

From IMDB here:
I saw the advanced screening tonight in New York City and it was hilarious. The dry humor was tremendous and the chemistry between Marky Mark and Will Ferrell is unmatched. They were so funny together it was great. The story of the movie is pretty predictable but there legit is non stop laughter through the entire film. The only draw back was the length of the movie, they could have trimmed it a bit but overall it's a solid summer comedy. Dare I say this was Will Ferrell's best performance since Anchorman. It's certainly one of those movies you will be quoting with your friends for a long time. The entire theater was laughing throughout the entire thing..Great movie...go check it out.
