Metro Cotabato Chamber to spearhead 1st Crab Festival in City

As one of the major events in city, the Shariff Kabunsuan Festival comes near, I have learned that Metro Cotabato Chamber of Commerce will be conducting the 1st Crab Festival as of the highlights of the said event.

Metro Cotabato Chamber of Commerce & Industry Foundation, Inc. in partnership with the City Government of Cotabato and Department of Trade and Industry will organize the 1st CRAB FESTIVAL this December 15-19, 2011 in Cotabato City. The crab festival coincides with the celebration of SHARIFF KABUNSUAN FESTIVAL 2011 of Cotabato City.


Shariff Kabunsuan Festival is one premier business and biggest cultural event in Cotabato City attracting people from other communities in Central Mindanao to include the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and people from other places throughout the country.


The Crab Fest will be composed of series of activities such as Crab Culinary Contest, Crab Fair, Crab Race and Crab Forum. These are geared towards promoting the crabs of Cotabato City known as the tastiest crab in the Philippines, as the City’s One Town One Product (OTOP) in partnership with DTI Region XII and Cotabato City LGU.

Youtube sensations Sophia and Rosie visits Ellen DeGeneres show

Perhaps you have seen Sophia and Rosie’s YouTube performance who became one of the trending topics this week. The sings Nicki Minaj's Hot 100 top 5 hit “Super Bass”. The song which was lip synced by Moymoy Palaboy featuring Rhian Ramos.

What makes the two interesting than those Moymoy is that they're so young to be that Youtube sensation, Sophia Grace Brownlee, age 8, and her cousin, Rosie Grace McClelland , age 5.

X Factor : Chris Rene, one of my bet

Below is the audition of X Factor USA auditionee Chris Rene. Perhaps one of my bet to win the first X Factor USA.

At first look at him, he doesn't look that impressive. Audience even laughed when he said the title of his self composition Young Homie.

I wasn't expecting at him just like the guy who brought his trailer all the way from Canada just to audition, but turns out very disappointing. But Chris Rene was very different. He introduces himself as bad ass guy who just went out from rehab and got cleaned for about 3 months.

Zsa Zsa Gabor rushed to hospital

The 94-year-old actress Zsa Zsa Gabor has once again rushed to the hospital from her after she lost consciousness at her Los Angeles-area mansion.

Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, said late Saturday that Gabor's fever is down, she's responding to antibiotics, and she has opened her eyes, though hasn't spoken.

Gabor has been hospitalized repeatedly since breaking her hip in July 2010 and some even spread a rumor that she's dead but actually just hospitalized November of the same year.

UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center Doctors are planning to replace a tube that was bleeding in her stomach on Sunday.

Von Anhalt says his wife is a "fighter" and he's confident she'll make it.

Fountain of Wayne's Stacy's Mom

Just posting here the song I've been listening for the past few days now. Since my hard disk with at least 40+GB of MP3 was busted, I've been listening and watching on Youtube instead. There are some other sites too but I still prefer to watch at Youtube.

Anyway, The song is from the pop-rock band Fountains of Wayne, formed back in 2008. Their song Stacy's Mom has been my background music while working. One thing though, the problem is with Youtube is I can't play it repeatedly, so, once in a while I would check out the tab from my browser where the video is and play it all over again.

So here's the video that became my companion for the past 3 days.

iSad - Steve Jobs dead at 56

The TV, radios and Internet, social networking sites in particular is bombarded with messages and stories about the tech icon Steve Jobs, which no one can deny, the truly modern inventor of this generation.

People who might reach this blog probably have heard or read it from news site about Steve Jobs's death which was caused by pancreatic cancer so I wouldn't be sharing much about that headlines.

Well, I just happened to like a corporate company here in the Philippines on Facebook and seen their message to Steve Jobs's passing. One thing that caught my attention is the status just under their message. 

If you have enlarged it, you might noticed it too. The company's promo of Samsung Galaxy Tab, I just find it funny because Samsung and Steve Jobs' Apple are direct competitor in the tablet product line and including phones. 

Another thing, as seen from the photo, FB likes of message to Apple is much higher compare to Samsung. Does it mean, Apple still dominates? As the two battles for domination, it has been on the news that both were suing each on patent copyright issues. In here, Samsung sued Apple in Netherlands accusing the Cupertino-based company of infringing patents with its iPhone and iPad products that utilise 3G technology.

On the other hand, Apple already filed a case to counter the Samsung claims.

Everyone are expressing their iSad messages but for someone who have watched the movie Pirates of the Silicon Valley, all I could say is that Apple and Steve Jobs is truly a brilliant person, an entrepreneur by heart. He has established a standards in tech industry and he will always be remembered. Goodbye Steve Jobs may you be in iHeaven now. 

Seasons of Love in X Factor US

If wasn't for the X Factor US version I wouldn't be looking for the video of Seasons of love on Youtube.

There was this guy who auditioned that even Simon Cowell couldn't stop him from singing and he really doesn't do it well. He was sort of mad when Simon tries to stop him from singing. And to get rid of his Seasons of Love version from piercing to my ears, I look for the original version to clean up the mess he did.

Also, there was this girl named Drew Ryniewicz’s who performed Justin Bieber's Baby, and it's refreshing to listen to.

Unfortunately, I can't hardly find the video of the guy who sang Seasons of Love in X Factor US. Maybe no one bothered to upload it.
